In the middle of March, I received my month's box from Bluum and found two products that really addressed my aforementioned concerns. They were the Weleda Almond soothing facial lotion and the Weleda Wild Rose smoothing night cream.
The products samples came in 5ml each.
Here is my video about these two Weleda products and a tutorial of how I use them in my skin care routine.
A little about Weleda.
Since 1921 Weleda has been developing products with a personal approach to health care. Using natural ingredients that are gentle and effective.
Weleda is named after the Celtic goddess of wisdom and healing.
The Almond soothing facial lotion -
- made of sweet almond oil
- designed for sensitive skin
- restores skin's natural balance and strengthens its protective barriers
- fragrance free and hypoallergenic
- with no spf, need to apply a thin layer of sunscreen or tinted moisturizer w/ spf
- full size at 1 oz = $24
The Wild Rose smoothing night cream -
- reserves the youthful vitality of your skin
- softens fine lines and counters signs of aging
- fragrance of damascene rose
- stimulate skin's natural renewal during night's regenerative cycle
- full size at 1 oz = $31
I began to incorporate the cream the same night I received my bluum box. It wasn't a drastic change adding these products into my skin care routine. I just substituted my existing moisturizers with either the night cream (Wild Rose) or the day cream (Almond).
This is currently my skin care routine:
In the morning -
- Wash my face with a scrub or cleanser with a brush (I use the boots facial scrub or garnier "the brush" microbead cleanser), rinse and pat dry
- If any, remove any excess eye makeup (I use the Mary Kay eye makeup remover)
- With a cotton ball and a toner, I swipe all over face and neck (I use a Filipino astringent or Boots no 7 toner)
- With clean fingers, I dispense a little at a time of the Almond facial lotion and dot all over my face and neck then massage evenly into skin
- I apply a thin layer of SPF lotion (I use a tinted moisturizer by ELF or Garnier BB cream)
- Now I have my face prep for makeup application
- Hello Day!
In the evening -
- I use a facial wipe to remove all the makeup from my face (I use Equate exfoliating facial wipes or baby wipes)
- With clean fingers, I dispense a little at a time of the Wild Rose smoothing night cream and dot all over my face and neck then massage evenly into skin
- Apply an eye cream (I use Loreal Ideal skin genesis eye cream)
- Apply lip moisturizer (I use Aquaphor)
- Sweet Dreams
I've just began night 3 of using the Weleda products and upon finishing the samples I will do a review of how these products worked for me.
Have you started using your Weleda samples? Thoughts?
