April's Birchbox: Worth more than $10??

I love my monthly boxes! I think I would have MAJOR withdrawals if I were to ever stop!

One of my oldie but goodie monthly box is Birchbox. It has been a hot minute since I've done a 'show & tell' or unboxing of my monthly box so I decided to just do blog posts for my birchboxes in the future.

So April's box came in early this week and I was excited to see what was chosen for me. To be quite honest, I was not digging many of the items discussed in the Birchbox spoiler video. But I was pleasantly surprised at how excited I was when I finally opened my box up.

April is Earth month and Earth day is on April 23rd. Going with the theme of the earth, April's boxed contained products that are of natural ingredients or in the spirit of the world around us. The box was the usual brown box with the pink foiled logo and instead of the pink tissue inside it was bright yellow.

Here are the goodies -

My April Birchbox note from the team

Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift - sample cost $1.42
Inspiration for Wonderstruck came from Taylor’s favorite memories and scents. The fragrance is a gourmand floral; a charming and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits, kissed by a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of sweet indulgence.

Benta Berry - Exfoliating Facial Cleanser - Sample cost $1.60
I'm excited if this will be good because I love exfoliating cleansers!
Moderation is key when it comes to exfoliating, which is why those harsh scrubs aren’t doing your skin any favors. Luckily, this hip Parisian brand’s ultra-gentle cleanser crossed the ocean just in time to rescue dull complexions without stripping skin. A host of natural ingredients, including finely ground apricot seeds, work to lift away dead cells and impurities.

BONUS: Yes to blueberries - Cleansing facial towelettes. Sample cost $2.13
Cleans your face and moisturizes it - can we say AWESOME? Love multitasking products
Pop quiz: these sweet-smelling towelettes are designed to a) remove makeup, b) cleanse skin or c) moisturize. If you answered d) all of the above, you’d be right. Thanks to their sweet blend of natural fruit extracts, we’ve been on a steady diet of bright, smooth skin with zero pore-clogging residue. Both oil-free and hypoallergenic, the travel-friendly wipes will remove the day’s debris while brightening your skin. Each 30-pack contains a month’s supply.
PUR 4 in 1 mineral tinted moisturizer. Sample cost $6
It moisturizer, primer, foundation and SPF 20
Wow another multitasking product!  I'm intrigued already!
On the spectrum between bare skin and full-on foundation, we like to err on the natural side of things. That’s why we’re huge fans of Pür Minerals’s brand new mineral-based tint, which works simultaneously as a moisturizer, primer, sheer foundation, and SPF 20. The creamy formula smooths over all kinds of flaws—from stubborn lines to blotchy redness—with color-corrective pigments. At the same time, it plumps up skin with proven moisturizers and offers broad spectrum sun protection. The lightweight texture makes us forget we’re wearing any makeup at all.
Kahina Giving Beauty: Argan Oil ($1.80) & Facial Lotion ($1.90)
These can be used separate or combined for an intense moisturizer
OilBy now, you’ve probably heard of argan oil. But most people don’t realize that the buzzy ingredient has been a staple of Moroccan women for centuries—they use it to protect skin and hair against the fierce desert sun. For those of us who live in cooler climates, this 100 percent organic oil is no less of a lifesaver—it softens fine lines on our faces, adds suppleness to our strands, and protects against pollutants. You’ll be glad to know that Kahina™ gets its fair trade argan oil straight from the source: it’s sustainably produced by women’s cooperatives in Morocco using ancient harvesting techniques.
LotionKahina™ Giving Beauty is an eco-loving brand that strives to practice what it preaches, so it’s fitting that their signature facial lotion contains only the purest ingredients. Free of toxic chemicals, it uses a green team of organic Moroccan argan oil and shea butter to keep skin hydrated day and night. The light, non-greasy texture makes it perfect to layer under makeup, and you can also mix it with the brand’s pure Argan Oil to create a super hydrator. No matter how you use it, you’ll notice your complexion looking more fresh and smooth over time.
Back of card with info on each item

My monthly subscription cost $10 and the value of the samples in this month's box came out to $14.85. I came up $4.85 in products!! Awesome!

I like how many of my boxes this month has been taking it back to the roots of things and filling them with products that are more natural or eco friendly making it better for the earth and you!

@mango - I think there are handful of people that get the same boxes. How do you like it so far?

I got the same box also! Loves the tinted moisturizer and even ordered the full size! First full size purchase! That stuff is perfect. Not a fan of the oil or lotion tho!
