It's officially summer and the sun brings on the heat with UV rays that can affect our skin, body and our eyes. Sunglasses aren't just an accessory to complete your outfit of the day but necessary for eye protection.

Ultraviolet (UV) light rays from the sun not only can damage the skin, they can also harm the eyes. Long-term exposure to UV light increases the risk of cataracts, a clouding of the eye's lens. Some experts believe UV rays increase the risk of macular degeneration, a chronic disease that affects the central vision.

To prepare my summer look, I went on a search for a perfect pair of sunglasses knowing they were crucial in protecting my eyes but I had to ensure it suited my style. I appreciate a lot of different styles and found a great website called Giant Vintage which sold sunglasses that ranged from vintage to modern style sunglasses.

What is mineral makeup?
