Now that we've seen what the New Radiant Collection is all about, let's get to the products for review. I received a little a sample kit that included 2 Tampax tampons, 1 Always pad and a small package with three panty liners.
My choice of feminine hygiene varies on the activities for the day. When I want to wear an outfit without the worry of a panty line then I wear a thong which means tampons and a pantyliner. But majority of the time when I have no concerns about a panty line then I wear boy short undies which means pads.
The Test -
1. The first of the three products was the Tampax Radiant tampons.
New Tampax Radiant tampons give you an ultimate protection experience like never before! The Radiant tampon features FormFit™ protection that gently expands to fit your unique shape, a LeakGuard™ braid to help stop leaks before they happen, a CleanSeal™ wrapper—the first ever re-sealable wrapper for worry-free disposal—and a CleanGrip™ applicator designed for incredible comfort.I received one package each of the regular absorbency and the super absorbency. I decided to use a combination of the super absorbency tampon and the Always Radiant Incredibly Thin Liners (review below) on my first day. The packaging that the products were in states that the color of the sticker indicates the absorbency range and green meant super absorbency. The 'super' absorbency translated to absorbing between 9-12 grams before needing to be changed.

As I had mentioned, I used this tampon along with the pantyliner on my first day and without getting too graphic the tampon only lasted 2 hours. It is recommended to change tampons every 4-8 hours as needed.
Overall, the product was aesthetically pleasing and the application was easy with the added bonus of having the packaging being used to dispose of the used applicator. The removal and disposal was also easy too. Although I was annoyed that this tampon didn't last for more than 2 hours, my expectation for this product was skewed because from my experience the first couple of days I have a heavier flow so the tampon should have been changed out sooner or I could opt for higher absorbency.

2. The next product in my sample kit was the panty liners.
NEW Always Radiant Incredibly Thin Liners with a NEW designer look, help keep your period invisible. Radiant Liners are our thinnest and most flexible protection, with flexible edges that fit any panty style.
In the Radiant sample kit, I received three of these thin liners and thought what a weird shape until I realized it is meant to fit any underwear type. How innovative!
The shape of the cotton liner is in a long slender oval shape with extra material around it to conform to the shape of which ever undies you wear. The back sheet has a quick direction on how you can manipulate the extra material around your undies.
As I had mentioned, I combined using this liner with the Radiant tampon and found that it was very easy to put into place. Fortunately the liner helped slightly alleviate a disaster since the tampon needed to be changed after two hours. These were very thin and felt like they were non-existent.
Overall, I really liked this liner because of its versatility of being used with different undies and it helped with my mini accident from testing the tampons. The removal was easy and disposal was a breeze by using the backing of a replacement liner to wrap used one.

Lastly, the final product in my kit was the Always Radiant Regular pads.
NEW Always Radiant Regular Pads help keep your period invisible. Our unique technology allows Radiant Pads to conform to each individual and unique shape and with the premium protection and performance you expect from Always Infinity. With NEW fun, designer packaging and wrapper, Radiant is worthy of your unique stye. Radiant Pads also feature a new backsheet design for an extra feminine touch. And we've added a light, clean scent, to help you feel fresh. After my mini accident with testing the Tampax tampons, I was more than happy to switch over to this pad and test its absorbency. My main preference when it comes to feminine hygiene products are pads.
This pad came in a self enclosed packet with yellow print which had a white tab that you pulled to open revealing the pad. Upon opening, the pad was folded in three with a white and orange sheet in the middle indicating the direction of application. Immediately upon opening, I could smell a very strong 'air freshener' scent coming from the pad and I had mixed feelings about it.
From previous experience, I usually opt for non-scented pads because the mixture of smells is weird for me but I didn't want that to negatively affect my opinion of this product while testing. It was very thin and did not feel bulky on. It was interesting to see that there were air pockets and horizontal ridges in the center part of the pad.
Overall, I found it did it's job in absorbency especially being my first day and the smell didn't bother me at all but instead I found it pleasantly nice. I liked the packaging and I'm a huge fan of the wings on pads so that was great. I can say that the reliability of this product giving me protection was very high and anticipate on picking up a box.
