Tortoise on my EYES!!!

I can see clearly now....

As someone who's needed corrective lenses since college, my contact lenses have been my 'go-to' for clearer vision which has been updated yearly with my new vision prescription but due to insurance purposes my eye glasses have not been updated as often.

With the help of a website called Firmoo.com, I was able to FINALLY get some updated prescription eye glasses.

Why choose Firmoo.com?

Firmoo offer overs 300 styles of affordable and stylish frames for you to choose from. You can buy 8 pairs of different eyewear on their site instead of only one pair at the local retail outlet or mall with the same amount money. Different clothes, different mood, different glasses every day, sounds interesting, huh? And if you don’t want to rack your brain to think it over which style suits you most, they offer Virtual Try-On System that helps you see how you look with our glasses or sunglasses. You are able to use your own photo to try our eyewear virtually, and also you can share your awesome try-on photo on yours and Firmoo’s Facebook wall and see what your friends think of it.

Fimroo has launched a program offering free eyewear for first-time buyers if that is your first purchase at Firmoo(to know more about this, please check at http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html).

This month, I received my first pair of prescription eye glasses from Firmoo and I was beyond excited to use them!

This is the packaging:

The reveal

With the help of my prescription along with the easy to navigate form on Firmoo's website, I was able to get the pair of prescription eye glasses specifically suited for my eyes. Upon completing the form and selecting the pair I wanted, I received a notification from the company proving the tracking information for my new pair of prescription eye glasses!

Here are the Tortoise SD2300

Overall, I felt that these glasses were of great sturdy quality while being lightweight. After extended use (over 4 hours), I did feel achy points of use more noticeable above my ears and on the bridge of my nose from wearing the glasses. I also felt that the company had good customer service with representatives accessible for questions and concerns. I am very satisfied with my new prescription eye glasses that I acquired and look into getting another pair soon!

Where do you get your prescription eye glasses? Have you gone to get your eyes checked lately?

    My first Bountiful Baskets!

I heard about bountiful baskets from my friend Brandi and I'm so excited to share!

Their website is www.bountifulbaskets.org. It's a co-op that's volunteered ran which focuses on attaining produce (fruits/vegetables) as close to local as possible thus making the carbon footprint eco-friendly in comparison to those produce we get in our grocery stores. You don't know know what produce you will be receiving but it's usually what's currently in season.

For a first timer, you add $4.50 ($3 for first timer and $1.50 processing fee) on top of the regular price of $15. After your first basket, you pay $16.50 and you pay for whichever week's basket you want. The website has schedules and locations for pickup in the midwest part of the country.

    PacMan . Greek . Mustaches - D3

So I finished watching the Pacquiao vs Mosley fight. I bootlegged it by watching it online and I had a moment of panic because the site I was watching it on had a brief unavailability. But I was able to watch the fight until the end.

Aside from the knock down in the 3rd round by Pacquiao, that fight was BORING! I thought it was a waste of Pacquiao's time to fight someone who just kept running away. No doubt Pacquiao had this in the bag before, during and after. It's nice to know that some of the money Pacquiao made from this fight will help his cause to try to fight poverty in the Philippines!

Now, does this mean that Pacquiao is going to fight Mayweather Jr anytime soon?
