Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 [Review]

For some time now, I have been on a quest to find my ideal moisturizer for my skin type (combination oily skin). I have used a variety of primers meant to control the oil in my T-zone area but I wanted to have my first step in my face prep be a moisturizer that does that.


I was able to use the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 to test out its ability to mattify my face.

April's Birchbox: Worth more than $10??

I love my monthly boxes! I think I would have MAJOR withdrawals if I were to ever stop!

One of my oldie but goodie monthly box is Birchbox. It has been a hot minute since I've done a 'show & tell' or unboxing of my monthly box so I decided to just do blog posts for my birchboxes in the future.

So April's box came in early this week and I was excited to see what was chosen for me. To be quite honest, I was not digging many of the items discussed in the Birchbox spoiler video. But I was pleasantly surprised at how excited I was when I finally opened my box up.

April is Earth month and Earth day is on April 23rd. Going with the theme of the earth, April's boxed contained products that are of natural ingredients or in the spirit of the world around us. The box was the usual brown box with the pink foiled logo and instead of the pink tissue inside it was bright yellow.

Hyrdate your face already!

Have you ever wondered what the importance of moisturizing and including spf in your skin care was? Well, one of my friends asked me facial moisturizer advice recently and thought I'd share a bit about it.


I have combination oily skin and before being regimented in my current moisturizer use, I used to think moisturizer was an optional thing. Along with that, I enjoy tanning and would use little to no spf protection on my face until my best friend told me that I should start to care for my skin better.

With some research, I realized I could be causing irreversible skin damage which I needed to change!
