A 2nd birthday party affair....

Saturday was jammed packed with activities! I had work and afterwards went over to my parent's house to get the house decorated for my Nugget aka Nugman's 2nd birthday party! We had a disney cars themed party!

We had an rsvp of 10 kiddos but only 5 showed up so we had tons of extras but it's better than not having enough!

We had a coloring, painting and tattoo station for the kiddos to play with. We had Cars 2 playing in the background too. For food, we served pizza, spaghetti, baked lumpia and turkey.

I made red velvet cupcakes decorated as Lightning McQueen for the kiddos and just regular decorated cupcakes for adults. I also made cake balls in the shape of Lightning McQueen that went on a block of rice krispy as part of the favor bags for the kiddos. The adults got some regular decorated cake balls as thank you desserts.

Ketchup... i mean catch up...

So it's been a lOOOOng minute since my last blog post! Slacking, I know.

What have I been up to?

Mommy news front -

I have been dealing with pregnancy symptoms earlier than with nugget's. I've just entered my 30th week into my pregnancy and I've been dealing with issues sleeping, waddling sooner, gaining more weight than my previous, feeling more tired - just to name a few.

My nugget is turning the big 2 on the 23rd and we are throwing a small family Cars themed birthday party next weekend!! OMG, 2??? Time has zoomed!

I've been trying to get all the themed items together so I'm not rushing to get stuff together at the last minute. I plan to have Cars 2 playing through out the house, an art station for painting and coloring, a dessert area called Sarge's surplus of sweets and a station for temporary tattoo application.  Here are some pictures that I found during my research to have during his birthday!

Nugget Events...

It's been a minute since I've posted about the Nugman.


Here are some recent things...

On one of the mornings we were in the backyard, our sprinkler caused a little puddle to accumulate in a spot on the pavement and Nugget decided to sit and downward dog pose his head into the puddle. A definite SMH!! sheesh!

We went to Chuck E Cheese yesterday for a friend's daughter's birthday party and Nug loved it even it being his first time!! Here are some pictures...
